Writer, singer, and a rare example of a self-described “avid cyclist” who genuinely is one (year-round)—in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Fodder for anyone counteracting the myth of “expensive” cycling infrastructure.

Investment in cycling pays substantial societal dividends.
Copenhagen 🇩🇰 cyclists saved society $1.61 per mile traveled in 2022. Cars cost society $0.29 per mile traveled.

Blue Jays tying the series is all well and good, but my proudest moment as a Canadian was watching Josh Naylor check on Ernie Clement after Clement had tagged him out.

Naylor knew he had just made a huge blunder but his first thought was for a fellow player.

At tonight’s “consultation”…

When a high school kid tried to raise concerns about the teachers strike, Bruce McAllister cut the kids mic and then suggested his parents should have beaten him more.

Listen to the clip yourself…

It’s…

Telling.

CARELESS SIGN STRUCK AND KILLED BY MOTORIST

Encountered the aftermath of this tragedy on my morning walk. Eyewitnesses confirm the playground zone sign was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. #yegbike

One reason I think it’s important to continue to highlight the disparity on our streets is that most people just don’t see it.

Despite it being obvious to some, so many people don't have clarity because we have done such an incredible job of normalizing this imbalance.

Our foreign policy shouldn’t be dictated by who wins a few swing ridings.

Proportional representation ensures decisions reflect real public debate, not the narrow priorities of small electoral battlegrounds.
