I don't think the Dems can stop the firings. But why aren't they proposing legislation that assures those that took the buyout get paid , and that all that are fired, get at least a year severance and health benefits? And any one with a health condition is covered the entire time they are sick?

It's pretty clear this admin is not interested in dealing with China, Russia, or Iran in any serious way. They'd rather deal with DEI, Colombia, and Denmark because they know they don't have the talent to actually fix anything.

It was never about the price of eggs. It’s about revenge, ego stroking and the grift.
This is accelerating the decline of American power around the world. We work hard to build and sustain the relationships that extend the reach of American ideas and influence. Skilled professionals are at the core of that, not ideologues and quislings.
I've watched Administrations go from DEM to GOP & back & forth. Even during worst of times in our country we didn't see career employees resign en masse. Especially not from being told to do so.
This is what authoritarian regimes do.
