Thank you to the Coalition for Spiritual and Public Leadership (CSPL). Many Catholic parishes, allies, & friends of CSPL came together for this action. We were disappointed by the 2nd denial, especially after following DHS stated procedures.

For any Catholic, the sight of a Eucharistic Procession being turned away at the gates of the destination is the embodiment of Jesus being denied entrance. You don't have to be Catholic to get the symbolism in that!

We’re wondering the same thing. How can you deny the body of Christ and our right to extend communion to those in need of hope, solidarity and kinship. What is there to hide inside the detention center is so morally offensive that they’re unwilling to allow nuns and priests to enter?
