I named my cat Homophobia in wilds because of this meme but then I put him in an octopus suit so you can't see his eyes so now my octopus is just named Homophobia because he hates gay people I guess

I wish I could fully explain just how thoroughly, deeply happy I am every day to still be drawing breath. This is not some sparkly self-help veneer, it's an overwhelming gut-deep thing that bowls me over periodically. As scary as it was being told I was going to die, I'd never undo that moment.

One of my favorite things about my 15yo are all the OLD things she likes. Black and white horror movies and 1940s music and stuff. There's something really happymaking to me about kids who don't dismiss everything that happened before them. So many things I can show her that she'll appreciate.
