A young female humpback whale got caught in crab pot netting left after season end & washed ashore in Yachats, Oregon around 30 hours ago. Rope & pulley is there & expected to get her in the water this morning.

A whale caught in crab nets is fighting for her life on the Oregon Coast near Yachats, with so many people rushing there before official help arrives at dawn. The whale is vocalizing distress, asking for help. It's devastating. We have to find a way to stop entanglements. Unconscionable.
