What I don’t understand about man made climate change deniers is the level of risk they are prepared to take on. They risk the very existence of the Earth as we know it. There is no upside if they are wrong.

In 1971, the Jim Crow era was over, but oppression carried on. Jimmy Carter was sworn in as Governor of Georgia.

In his Inaugural address, he declared “the time for racial discrimination is over”.

President Carter always had the spine to speak up, no matter the cost of the cause. Be like Carter.

So true
I wish I lived in a country where Mitch McConnell, John Kelly, Bill Barr and John Bolton had at least half the balls of E. Jean Carroll, Stormy Daniels, Christine Blasey Ford, or Anita Hill.

If this year taught us anything, it's that:

1) Workers keep America going, not billionaires.
2) Corporate profits don't trickle down to workers.
3) Poverty is a policy choice.
4) Health care is a human right.
5) Strikes work.

I hope we act on these lessons in the new year.

So, for the most part, I think the whole honours system in this country is very weird, archaic and overly politicised, however, if there is one thing that a knighthood is appropriate for, it’s making sure that kids don’t go hungry.

Well done, @london.gov.uk.

Just a reminder that James McMurdock MP & Reform UK never apologised for lying about the nature of his conviction.

They said he ‘pushed her’, when he actually kicked the shit out of her on the floor.

And chief whip Lee Anderson is too weak to discipline him.

“The government knows a fair bit about delivery drivers that are employed directly by supermarkets. Your Tesco or Waitrose delivery driver is an employee … But the food delivery industry (is) run almost exclusively by self-employed gig economy workers”

Here’s the answer. Proper jobs not gigs.
NEW: How many food delivery drivers are there in Britain?

Delivery companies are good with numbers when it comes to profit, market share and deliveries.

They are less clear when it comes to how many people actually do the delivering…

Is this for real?
A “missing” Republican Congresswoman from Texas has finally been found. She has secretly been residing for six months at a local memory care and assisted living home. It’s outrageous that the public and her constituents have been left in the dark about her whereabouts and the nature of her absence.
'Missing' Congresswoman Kay Granger found in assisted living facility
A still sitting Texas Congresswoman has been missing votes in Washington because she's been living in a $4,000-a-month nursing home for the past six months.

😜😜😜 Trump has ZERO juice.
Elon Musk ordered Trump and Republicans to back out of a bipartisan agreement and shut down the government.

Trump threatened to primary any Republican who voted to fund the government without dealing with the debt limit, but 170 House Republicans defied him.

Republicans are still in disarray…
