ICE activity has increased in Sunset Park, Bushwick, and Corona (non-exhaustive list) and it seems to be because people aren’t attending their court dates — either due to not receiving notice or intentionally skipping because they know people are getting disappeared at 26 Federal Plaza.

Wow. This is big. Not only does it mean (a lot) more Tomu Uchida on English-friendly Blu, but this is a series virtually unknown in the West. (Plus it’s a better adaptation than the earlier and better-known Inagaki/Mifune trilogy!)

Having grown up on SI, I want to note that the borough would implode hard and fast if it tried to become a separate city without the preferences/infrastructure support it gets as Manhattan and (lesser extent) Brooklyn’s bedroom community.
