Big Oscar the Grouch Energy. Follows sports teams that always see me on the end of winning records (Nets/Rutgers/Mets). Politics too I guess.
Conway is better than Benioff, but he’s not quite yet your friend:

A thoroughly disappointing both sides take from the President of Rutgers here.

There are many legitimate reasons to question Gavin Newsom and you should but a big reason why Gavin Newsom is surging in the polls is because the opposition is composed of doofuses like Matt Mahan.

"The Abundance authors are part of a growing chorus of liberal technocrats who claim that Harris’ deference to “The Groups” came at the expense of appealing to actual voters who are primarily concerned with the cost of living and are put off by Democrats’ emphasis on race and identity."
Why are liberals cozying up to race scientists?
“Race realists” are finding unexpected allies in the Abundance movement.

JUST IN: ICE agents in San Francisco just now drove through protesters, used pepper spray, & brandished rifles at those who had gathered to try to stop an immigration arrest.

A woman, holding onto the hood of an ICE SUV, was thrown off.

I’m available to join any private group chats you might be creating as Oscar the Grouch fan. I promise that when you talk about race realism, I will talk about the superiority of muppets who live in trash cans.

Need to create an outside org to get my blue check. 😀
Blue checks are coming to Bluesky!

It's an interesting hybrid model that combines centralized verification (Bluesky says you're legit) with decentralized verification (an outside org says you're legit).
link to blogpost is dated april 21st, so monday. can't wait for my bluecheck 😊

Several orgs, including SF Transit Riders, SF Bicycle Coalition, Walk SF, Kids Safe SF, have come out against the mayor's announcement to allow Waymo to operate on Market Street.
Just In: Mayor Daniel Lurie is allowing Waymo to map out Market Street, eventually allowing Waymo's autonomous vehicles to operate on the corridor as soon as this summer. It's part of the mayor's plans to revitalize the downtown area.

Going forward I want us to draw a distinction.

Real American Liberalism™ is:
Battle Hymn of the Republic, Sherman’s March, Radical Reconstruction, New Deal, Atlantic Charter, Manhattan Project, Marshall Plan, NATO, Civil Rights, Great Society

What it is not:
The Atlantic, Columbia, Chuck Schumer
No, liberalism IS the right word. We’re not tossing out the proud history of the set of ideas that has liberated half of humanity because internet communists got drunk on late capitalism memes, or a bunch of compromised centrist slimeballs adopted it as code for bolstering the status quo

Pretty ashamed that one of Musk’s DOGE KIDDOS graduated from my college - Rutgers.

Am I going to be l locked up for saying that?

Correct. I am confused. So you’re saying you are getting rid of the funding freeze memo but also the freeze justified by the memo is on.

Indeed my liberal mind is totally confused and you should be too.

Lot of people seem to pushing Pamela Hemphill as a hero but we might be getting another Lindy Li type here.
Pam is not a reliable narrator. She has lied about her past countless times. She has personally attacked some of my friends. She claims her mom was a serial killer. I was in a zoom w Pam she isn't to be trusted. We talk about her lies here:

There’s a desire to just tune out from everything going on this time around. To just tune it out and focus on hyperlocal issues. I think this statement from David Remnick’s piece in the New Yorker is a good argument against that:

It Can Happen Here
Everyone who realizes with proper alarm that Trump’s reëlection is a deeply dangerous moment in American life must think hard about where we are.
