At least it can serve as a reminder: The reason the Chiefs have been at the center of so much referee discourse is because they’ve played in so many standalone high-profile games. When you watch whole games, you see refs whiff in big moments. It continues with everyone.

also think hurts needs to be realistic about what kind of player he is. there was a lot of talk last summer about him wanting to be the field general guy post-kelce retirement but maybe that’s just not in the cards. this is similar to the russell wilson OC dilemma but just not as gifted a player
