settling in to watch my first cfb game of the season

excited to form a complete and immovable opinion on both QBs over the next four hours

the fact that this game and Allen/Lawrence are happening on the same day is incredible
Is Maye vs Herbert the most excited you’ve ever been for a wild card playoff game?
January 8, 2026 at 6:17 PM
Burrow would veto because it wouldn’t be his offense anymore
Never going to happen, but Cincy?
January 8, 2026 at 4:45 PM
I wont be surprised at all if it goes that way for McDaniel. The offensive pool is pretty dry outside of McDaniel/Stefanski

but I do wonder if McDaniel is more interested, in the short term, just calling plays for a team thats more ready to go
That’s what I thought off the bat, but on second thought he seems like a candidate to immediately get another HC job? I feel like a FO too dedicated to the current Offensive HC meta will end up giving him another shot

force of nature
January 8, 2026 at 4:19 PM
you're kind of cooking. I still believe Saleh can be a good HC and got a raw deal with the Jets
Raiders OC with Robert Saleh as HC.
January 8, 2026 at 4:15 PM
makes all the sense in the world but kinda feels like they're going to miss the train there
January 8, 2026 at 4:15 PM
preposterous football player
January 8, 2026 at 4:10 PM
this is the way
Flores and McDaniels in Baltimore somehow>>>>
January 8, 2026 at 4:04 PM
Baltimore would be great but my opinion probably shifts a little depending on if he’s HC or OC. I’d rather see Baltimore with one of the defensive guys
If you don’t mind me asking why not Baltimore, do you think he’s not a good fit w/ Lamar?
January 8, 2026 at 4:03 PM
I trust McDaniel to make it work on some level with anyone but Hurts feels like the exact opposite kind of QB to pair with him
January 8, 2026 at 4:00 PM
don’t love that fit honestly
Washington? 👀

(Detroit?)
BREAKING: The Dolphins have fired head coach Mike McDaniel, per source.

McDaniel finishes with a 35-35 record in four seasons, including two playoff losses.
January 8, 2026 at 3:55 PM
maybe but do we know that? what if the offense gets buzzsawed by Houston?
If the kicker makes the field goal, there's no coaching change, so it's a bad decision.
January 7, 2026 at 2:18 AM
to me the difference there is as Baltimore you still have some stability and safety through the upheaval because of Lamar. Pittsburgh doesn’t have that — downside is significantly steeper imo
Tomlin is similar to me. He's a good coach....but sometimes you just need something different. It may turn out horribly, but is there a lot of upside in staying pat?
January 7, 2026 at 2:16 AM
I wouldn’t have fired John Harbaugh. Too good for too long in too many different ways, and he’ll probably be good wherever he goes next.

I also understand wanting to try something new while Lamar Jackson is still in his prime before it’s too late. Think that’s where I land with it.
January 7, 2026 at 1:53 AM
i will have a mental and emotional breakdown
Amid recent leaguewide buzz about Kliff Kingsbury’s future, many believe Baltimore, with Lamar Jackson, would be an ideal landing spot for the now former Commanders offensive coordinator.

That will be a name to watch.

a QB willing to die for the cause 🫡
January 6, 2026 at 9:22 PM
BTJ can't bring it in (great coverage and breakup I don't blame him) but it's insane Trevor Lawrence can put enough juice on it to get it there at all from this position. Type of thing I'm used to seeing from Stafford or Allen or Herbert
January 6, 2026 at 9:10 PM
oh man I wasn't even considering old Bills. they are REALLY KT Rolster lmfao
When you add in the 4 consecutive Super Bowl losses, the "don't get excited about KT" meme really carries over, too.
January 6, 2026 at 5:24 PM
I'm Kliff agnostic but I am surprised they let him go. Curious as to what they think the best direction for a Jayden Daniels offense is now.
NEWS: The Commanders are parting ways with OC Kliff Kingsbury, sources say.

Kingsbury spent the past two seasons in Washington, helping Jayden Daniels win Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2024.

Washington is also parting ways with DC Joe Whitt Jr.
January 6, 2026 at 5:07 PM
it’s pain all the way down for KT Rolster Im afraid
Please tell me that's a good thing and not something that will break my heart :)
January 6, 2026 at 4:46 PM
thinking about this again and conceiving of the Bills as KT Rolster really does make sense of a lot of things
they're the same picture
January 6, 2026 at 4:29 PM
they're the same picture
January 5, 2026 at 4:57 PM
satisfying run fit from Dee Winters (53) and Malik Mustapha (6)

fantastic job by Winters coming downhill as tight to the double team as possible, puts him in good position to spill this to the free fitter
