AI advocates have warned that if every author in the class action filed a claim, it would "financially ruin" the entire industry.

Hello! today is 🎂🎉MY BIRTHDAY! 🎉🎂

For my birthday, plz read what is up of my webcomic/signal-boost this skeet? It would mean a lot to me!

Only 50 pages so far. It hasn't updated in ages, but I'm still working on it. Updates will resume when the backlog reaches 50 pages.

spoke with the executive director of my local food bank today and got this really incredible line: "if you donate 1 can of green beans, we can give away 1 can of green beans. but if you donate a dollar, we can give away 6 cans of green beans"

As someone who has previously been a starving writer treated like a disposable tool, this is both hilarious and hitting very close to home.

Japan's "Mundane Halloween" costume contest is back!

Each year website DailyPortalZ holds a contest where people dress up as something super duper ordinary.

Here's a thread of some of my favorites from the 2025 contest!

I gave out 120 mini chocolate bars and 80 bags of chips. Plus gum, rockets, hi-chew and 2 boxes of sour cream and onion flavored edible mealworms. And special candy for adults. 20 trick-or-treaters helped themselves to healthy pea protein snacks rather than ringing the doorbell.

So far, using the downvote feature on random posts that pop up in my feed by people complaning that other people support issues they don’t think are important. Because the people who support or oppose things for their own merit often have interesting things to say, but this isn’t useful.

One year when I was a kid, I wanted a scary outfit for Halloween but my parents didn’t have any money to pay for it. I was upset and I remember my mother sitting me down and saying, “Don’t worry, I can fix this”. 1/2

"Awesome costume! You look just like a real ghost! Happy Halloween!" The woman laughs and returns to her friends, left with a courteous smile and demure nod.
If the ghost had a voice, she would sing with joy. For this is the one night a year she can walk among the people, be seen, be talked to.
