#InkTober2025 Day 21: Blast.
This was one of the first prompts that I had ideas about and it worked out exactly as I hoped. I love Mammoths, ever since my dad showed me a tooth he had found I’ve been fascinated with them.
Really love how this drawing turned out! Brushpen, Copics and gelpen.
Trying to think who else banned indepent news sources and censored people he didn't like. Hmmm, can't quite remember the name. It was a little German guy with a funny mustache.
🤔
If Network NEWSCASTS, and their Late Night Shows, are almost 100% Accurate about a Pathological Liar and Convicted Felon who Incited an Insurrection, tried to Steal a Fair Election and is Covering up Sex Crimes against Children, shouldn't his Disgraceful Presidency be terminated? I say, YES!

Is there a Santa Claus in Dinotopia? Not exactly. Nibor Dooh is more of a reverse brigand. He takes everything you’ve got and gives you what he took from the last person. open.substack.com/pub/jamesgur...

Hey, artists remember this:

No matter how many pieces you made this year you're an artist, even if you only made 1.

If you are super active or if you only have time / energy to pop up once in a while, no matter how big or small, you are still part of the art community 🙌

I love u artists

Some of my Christmas cards for this year. Everyone gets a cheerful, happy Snowman. Because I think we all need a cheerful, happy Snowman in our lives at the moment.
The one in the middle of the bottom row is my favorite!

Came for the owl, stayed for the stump and snow. Drawn with Pentel .2 .3 .5, HB 2B 4B. So many layers. So much blender work. Half of this was adding graphite, the other half was taking it back. Learning what to leave alone and celebrating all the textures in nature. #bird #sciart #graphite

WOW! Thank you to The Academy for selecting Snow Bear as one of the 15 shortlisted films for Best Animated Short Film.

To see this deeply personal, hand-drawn film recognized alongside so many incredible works is an honor.

I am so grateful to everyone who has supported this journey.

If you want some good news moving into the holidays, Ed has you covered.

Do you remember the UK consultation from Dec 2024- Feb 2025?

It took then almost a year to read through the 11 500(!) respondents.

95%(!!!) Of respondents rejected the government's proposal of an unworkable "opt-out" scheme.
Brutal (but fair) Guardian headline today

Only 3% of respondents to the UK government’s consultation on AI & copyright supported their unfair plan to hand AI companies people’s work for free.

95% said AI companies should license training data.

Quick and messy Ceratosaurus after dealing with the flu from hell the past few days. Debating with myself whether or not to ink it. Yes is winning so far.
(Ceratodaurus is actually one of my favorite dinos, especially after playing the first Jurassic World Evolution game)

I have more books that I can find room for and I will never stop buying them.
Especially with the rise of AI trash that a lot of people embrace and blindly follow like it’s the best thing that ever happened. I haven’t trusted anything written online in a while and I doubt that will change.
The Internet is becoming increasingly unreliable. Buy books and read them.
