Netanyahu was never interested in a #ceasefire.

It was always about ethnic cleansing, colonialism and genocide.

The west won’t act as he burns children alive.

It is the biggest moral failure of our time, and the failure to stop it hasn’t even done what the Democrats hoped - secure re-election.

Chris Bishop does not want to answer whether Urupa and Wahi-tapu are covered by Article 2 of te Tiriti. Wibbles behind it "not being incporporated into New Zealand law".

His regime is removing it from New Zealand law, piece by piece. #nzqt

The latest death toll as at 2pm Wednesday is 21 while many more are still missing in the rubble. Israel is claiming Hamas operatives in this camp run by Fatah and watched closely by Lebanon who don’t take kindly to militants there

Israel also bombed Syria and Gaza today

In the last election a political correspondent at the Times literally signed a pledge not to publicly criticize the Conservative Party, and this was just regarded as a vague source of amusements that he didn't manage to get selected for any of the constituencies he was applying for.

Now: oh, that WAS the future
the actual suicide of the West will be combining a rapidly aging population with hostility to migrants. however we must give credit to East Asia, especially Japan, for pioneering this model.

Face age estimation doesn't even meet the threshold for "fairness" when it is used for age-gating the internet, so of course it can be used to make life-changing decisions !? I think Yoti need to review their ethics and unpublished DPIA.

For many Kiwis, Saturday's record-breaking $55 million Powerball jackpot was an opportunity to dream big - but the Govt is after a financial windfall of its own, with ministers starting tentative discussions about a privatisation of Lotto. More @newsroom.co.nz here: newsroom.co.nz/2025/11/19/c...
Could Govt seek financial jackpot with Lotto privatisation?
As the Prime Minister calls for a 'mature' conversation about asset sales, the national lottery may be in the Govt's sights – but is the coalition on board?

I’m wondering if Air NZ is just bad at communications or if it is deliberately hiding this information, but the announcement of a shift from Airpoints to ‘Koru’ as their loyalty system doesn’t mention anything about earning points.

This creates distrust.

Instead of exporting American free speech and free press values as a cost of doing business with us, we’re importing the Saudi approach. Or maybe the Saudi way was really just our values all along.

By now in the semester, the students in my sentencing and punishment seminar are pretty used to grim stuff—not to mention self-selection into electives means most had a lot of background awareness coming in.

But this pic—of group “therapy” at San Quentin—still produced a class-wide gasp of horror.
