I'm not one of those pro-mask folks who is going to lecture you for not masking this whole time. The messaging on masks has been horrible. People who wanted to do the right thing were looking for guidance from the CDC & health departments & doctors & other folks that seemed legit. 🧵

If you’re looking for one thing you can do that’s cheap, easy, signals your disapproval of fascism and immediately helps vulnerable people: Wear a mask.
A lot of great people no longer can attend conventions or conferences or parties or concerts or all sorts of gatherings. Or they have to take risks to do so.

If only good indoor air quality was a priority. If only we could count on people to test, get vaccinated, wear masks as needed. 🧵

Wear. A. Mask.

It is cheap. If you can't afford, check if maskbloc.org has some for you

It is easy. I say this as someone with POTS, who is supposed to near-constantly have access to my mouth to hydrate, and wears them _everywhere_

It signals disdain of fascism

It cares for vulnerable people
