But what thrift, the baked meats of the funeral can serve as cold cuts at the wedding
If I loved my assassinated husband I personally might have spent a little more time in mourning.

Watching LA descend on the desert town I’m staying in: the vapidity of conversation, extravagance and homogeneity of dress and affectation, the bizarre pantomime of American class and status… all are somehow deeply unnerving.

Proud of myself that when I confronted my cousin about his casual transphobia and he said “if I cared about injustice against anyone, I’d be fighting for the rest of my life” my gut reaction / what I said was “yeah that’s the idea”

Couple more trail cam photos. I swear I didn’t hallucinate the coyote, but haven’t seen it on the camera yet!

Think this was the image I saw earlier. Perfect. Even the angle.
The Vanity Fair photographer knew what he was doing. (I doubt I’m the first to notice this but it hasn’t graced my TL)

Saw a skeet that said "That last line was a master class in how to speak truth to power. Quietly, but effectively" re: some quip the Vanity Fair photographer made to Stephen Miller.

I prefer we wield power, rather than speak truth to it.

Xfinity has the gall to call me after the disaster trying the nightmare of returning my router (no store nearby, website didn’t work on Firefox, nigh impossible to find a person to ask to send a UPS label). Weird how when they want to do customer retention suddenly they’ll call you!

I’ve been trying to sleep in the backyard for ultra mold avoidance and have been woken up the last few nights by coyote noises outside this inner dog fence. Last night was a big one - underneath the weird creepy cackle / laugh was this deep growl, like a furnace bellows.

Part of the mycotoxin detox process is apparently an aggravation of the symptoms the mycotoxins were causing as your body flushes them out. A part of that? Incredible sensory sensitivity, hair trigger rage. Beeping from the ATM? Maddening. I lost my shit at the Xfinity automated phone tree.

We never consented to these delusional and messianic tech oligarchs beta testing AI on the public. Killing pets, endangering kids, making it impossible to cancel services with a government-sponsored monopoly (delivering unbelievable profit that belongs to the public)...

Shocking how evil and hateful the Xfinity / Comcast process is. Print a UPS label to return the equipment? Doesn't work. Try to speak with someone? They'll call you back, in about 8 days. Get someone on the line? They'll refuse to let you cancel until you start cussing them out.

The older I get, the more my politics mature from childish, naïve beliefs like "the world is complicated and leaders have to make hard decisions" to more serious, adult principles like "hurting people is bad and helping people is good."

Cats throwing up every morning, cousin wrecking a car on the way to come visit (meaning I gotta help it drivable), and Apple wants to do this to me overnight. Entropy at gunpoint.

Last week, ICE arrested and separated a father and son after a routine check-in. Six-year-old Yuanxin had just enrolled in the first grade at an elementary school in Astoria. Now he's in custody, alone. ICE won't say where. This cruelty serves no one. It must end.

25-35% humidity where I am, recently renovated house, cement floors, basically as low mold as I could find (trying a tent soon), but I’m on night 3 and def think this was the right call. Obviously many moving variables because I had to pack up and move for these two months, but so far so good.

RIP KitKat. A rare treat of a bodega cat in San Francisco, reminded me of all the good ones in NYC. (Killed by a Waymo last month).

The roof on my 2021 Mazda MX-5 seems to have failed right at the same time as the car was most needed. Found mildew, or mold, I don’t know, from the two weeks while I was in the desert, pooled water on the floor. Moving feels more like “rapid disassembly” than process at this point
