I am so goddamn disgusted with Schumer and those 8 senators, one of them my own. I am so goddamn angry, frustrated, and terrified. They have doomed us all. The shutdown was working, we were supported the Dems, cheered them on. Been a Dem my entire life, if I could find a new party, I would.

Right? This amounts to a tariff on healthcare. We the people will absorb the costs of the uninsured with subsequent increase in medical costs. In the meantime, these cuts leave more tax revenue to award to Musk and Bezos in the form of govt contracts. And maybe to send some more $$ to Argentina

I've cared for patients who used the ER when the pain got so bad they couldn't stand it, only to find out they had STAGE FOUR CANCER. Several left behind very young children. We should never go back to 54 M uninsured before the ACA took effect.
