What we might refer to as a "Kavanaugh Stop"
WOW. The lead plaintiff is a Latino man who's been here legally for 24 years. He was grabbed off the street by plainclothes federal agents who didn't even ASK about his status.

He was detained overnight and only released once a supervisor realized he had been illegally arrested.

I am not a bigot. I wrote the Open and Affirming statement for my church and have supported the Human Rights Campaign. I am a Democratic Socialist, an atheist, and a feminist who has come to realize in the last few years that biological sex segregation in certain areas protects women.

He almost got it.. These hysterics play well on bluesky, but they are not working on the general public.. If it feels cranky, it probably is..
honestly think some of the hesitation here is that no one wants to sound like a crank. i was talking at an event last night and even i felt like a crank while i was speaking!
What if there were a coup, the US government fell to a drug-addled oligarch who seized control of our money, secrets, and levers of power, and Corporate media did not report on it?

My first and definitely last time working with the Los Angeles Times. Editing out the most urgent point of an OpEd in the minutes before sending to press while then also assigning a title and image that suggest an argument entirely opposite to the author’s clear intent is pretty shitty.

Republican members of congress are seeking validation from Elon Musk — including those who can’t even vote on the CR.

And note Jake Sherman’s quote tweet of Musk where he demands that Congress not pass any bills until Trump becomes President.

It Is Wrong to Call For the Murder of Journalists

I can't believe I have to say this, but no one has a leg to stand who has called for violence toward reporters, including Jesse Singal and me, who cover pediatric gender medicine with circumspection.

Trump is correct here..
Trump on Luigi Mangione.

“I think it’s a terrible thing that some people like this guy. That’s a sickness. It was so bad, right in the back. There’s a certain appetite for him…I don’t get it.”

This would obviously be a baseless lawsuit, but just saying this has a chilling effect, and most pollsters don't have the financial resources for a legal battle. This is very disturbing.

1. Trump says the GOP will end Daylight Saving Time.

That means Standard Time, which is what we’re in now, would be permanent.

Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy have also been pushing for this.

In an AP poll conducted in 2019, 71% of Americans said they wanted to stop switching clocks twice a year.

1. We already knew how evil Bashar al-Assad was, but what has been revealed in the past 36 hours confirms that he, along with his family, is one of the biggest and cruelest criminals of the 21st century.

It will take decades to rebuild Syria, and Syrians will carry this trauma for generations.
