My little city has a lot of love. It’s nice to get some goodwill from folks elsewhere, too. I really appreciate someone so thoughtful—and I really mean thinks about people and place and love with attention and insight—thinking of us.

It just feels like everything is being flattened. Rape, genocide, wildfires, etc etc is all just fodder for internet discourse rather than turning points that lead to… something, anything better or different.

I made a Thanksgiving organizational spreadsheet which includes toggles for what time dishes need to be prepared, when they need to be cooked, what dietary restrictions they meet, who the chef is. etc, etc. I’m oddly very proud of it.

Saw the GDT Frankenstein. It was so good. My response is more basic than the film deserves: it’s really sad. The script and performances are really moving—but I’m just sad.
