![With the election of the trump administration and its policies as embodied by Project 2025, we authors have deep concerns about how our publishers will be operating and how publishers will advocate for and protect authors. Justice delayed was justice denied.
NEW: Judge Tanya Chutkan dismissed the charges against Trump in the DC election subversion case without prejudice. This allows the Justice Department to refile charges once Trump is out of office.

When I warned repeatedly that Trump intended to go after the free press in a 2nd term I wasn’t just talking about things like jailing journalists who refuse to reveal leakers or FCC harassment. I was talking about things like this. But they didn’t think it would happen to them.

People need to know that the FBI doesn’t make the call on Cabinet nominees. They investigate, and they say, “Here’s what we found. Here’s what troubles us.” Private vetting firms don’t have the powers the FBI has, and their loyalty is to whomever is paying them. @nbcbayarea.bsky.social
