Seeing the GOTY conversations starting and while that’s awesome, it’s important to remember that if you think something is Game of the Year, then it is. It’s that simple. Does not matter if even one other person agrees. GOTY is just an opinion and everyone’s is equal.

With the Game Awards coming up, it really does need to be repeated that corporate approval and rubber-stamping means nothing.
Most of the coolest things you can play this year aren't going to be anywhere near those awards. Even ones that have sold great, like Nine Sols.
