I know several incredible humans who are neurodivergent. None of them celebrate like that. None of them cheer like that. None of them wave like that. None of them. It’s not a spectrum thing, it’s a him thing, and they all know it.

Being told, as an autistic person, that it's "just an app" and I should stop overreacting is the perfect modern day example of autistic gaslighting 🙃

TikTok is coming back on in the US right now!!
January 19, 2025 at 5:50 PM
Am I mad because I can’t use my “stupid little app” for a few days?

No. I’m mad because of WHY I can’t and everyone should be mad about that!

I’m so serious about this. Do not increase your time on meta platforms. In fact, over the next 48 hours, give your attention to somewhere else. Don’t reward Zuckerberg for this. 1/

They actually just did that…

“god ever since you got diagnosed autistic that’s all you talk about” well I learned these things so many people and all of culture viewed as fucked up and shitty about me arise from the same thing and that I’m not alone so. yeah that’s pretty major

Never in my life did I feel so free to be myself. I cannot believe this actually happened, I hope to find a new neurodivergent community here, who is fine with me throwing in content about my music career that I’m trying to keep alive also 😅💛
I learned so much about my autism on tiktok and it became a place where people were openly and vibrantly autistic, unmasking, showing their supports and their successes. It was incredibly cool to be in a space that was just a bunch of people loving their autistic lives and sharing them.

RIP TikTok. The ultimate example of the olds not getting it.

It is especially ironic that we're freaking out about a foreign owned social network when we're letting untrustworthy figures straight through the door over here

I'm glad they banned TikTok so I can share my data exclusively with American tech perverts
January 19, 2025 at 5:40 AM
When someone tells me I’m “normal” because I mask so well. Bro, I’ve been masking for 32 years of course I’m gonna be good at it, but nothing about the shit show that’s constantly running in my brain is “normal.” 😅🤦‍♂️

This is so true 💯
When you find your true autistic self hidden behind all those masks you start to see the world thru a different lense.

Life Changing. World views completely turned upside down.

It’s like someone just cleaned my lenses and I can now see properly.

This 😭😆
You're such a good listener

Thanks, I'm autistic and never get the chance to actually speak.

They’re banning TikTok not because it harvests data, the same way US social media does, but because they can’t influence it’s algorithm with congressional hearings or government contracts the way they do every other tech giant. That’s it.

This is absolutely disgusting. If you have any friends or family still using Meta, encourage them to get off there. This kind of LGBTQIA+ hatred shouldn't be tolerated in a social media, and kids certainly shouldn't be exposed to it either. People need to all be treated as equals. #BoycottMeta

NEW: Meta (which owns Facebook, Instagram and Threads) now says it allows “allegations of mental illness or abnormality when based on gender or sexual orientation, given political and religious discourse about transgenderism and homosexuality and common non-serious usage of words like ‘weird.’"

Meta rolled out a number of changes to its “Hateful Conduct” policy Tuesday as part of a sweeping overhaul of its approach toward content moderation.

This is why my wife is currently learning how to cut my hair. I simply cannot 😆
There are so many sensory feelings involved in going to the hairdressers. There is all the sounds and smells in the salon and then the feeling of your hair being wet, cut and washed. Having a haircut is not a simple task when you’re autistic.

I’ve never seen people more afraid to engage than the people on Instagram. Everyone hate watching like 👀

Who else is here for a fresh start?? I haven’t felt this free since 2019
January 13, 2025 at 5:47 AM
I’m perfectly okay starting fresh here and elsewhere. I hope my content reaches the right audiences. I love #singing, #songwriting, raising awareness around #mentalhealth & talking about finding out in adulthood that I am #autistic
If any of that sounds like something you wanna see, please follow 🫶

Telling someone who's autistic to ignore a sensory trigger is unlikely to help them.

Many autists report that their brain can't filter out triggers in the way NT's can.

We wish we could ignore them but we just can't.

Imagine telling someone to ignore a fire in a room. That's how it feels.

Okay, I made it. My first post! I want it to be special, so I’ll share something I recently learned about myself that has been life changing. I struggled so much for 32 years, to simply exist. I felt like the only character in a movie who didn’t have the script. Turns out, I’m #actuallyautistic 💛
