Time for Europe to step up without pandering to the USA, or when push comes to shove, confirm its irrelevance to the world.

Oh dear Lord, this is preposterous. I can't think of a better way to promote "British Values" abroad than the British Council. Whoever made this decision should be fired as a cost-cutting measure.

As it was obvious to anyone (except the dullard Witkoff) that RU would never agree to this, how is this breaking news? It would have been breaking news if RU had agreed to it as that would be extremely unlikely.

Brigadier General Serhiy Lysak has been appointed head of military administration in #Odesa, thus (eventually) replacing Gennady Trukhanov as Mayor now his citzenship removal prevents him holding political office.

It appears that the odious and distinctly dubious Odesa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov is about to have his Ukrainian citizenship removed, and thus can no longer act as Mayor. Rumour has it that the relevant decree awaits the president's signature imminently.

It's excurciatingly cringeworthy to watch a Beta male trying to act like an Alpha male and believe that he's pulling it off.

It seems that current whispers in the wind are that the next Kremlin provocation will be shooting down their own drones over Belarus and bringing Belrus officially into the fray, or claiming that RU drones falling in Poland were actually fired by UA as a false flag. A transparent Kremling play.

Ummmm, the airfield was built by the Soviet Union in the 1950s, and was the Soviet main base during the 1980s

Meaning that they won't be imposed.
US House Speaker Mike Johnson stated desperate times call for desperate measures, and sanctions against Russia are long overdue. He noted strong congressional support and readiness to work with the White House and Senate. Congress won’t impose them without Trump’s coordination.

And why not send drones to enter Romanian airspace? The lesson from the Poland incident is that there are no significant consequences.

This is #TACOTrump's way out, knowing full well his "friend" Orban (and Fico) won't stop buying RU oil. That said nobody ever expected #TACOTrump to seriously sanction RU, this, however, lets him blame others for his deliberate inaction.

At the Chinese LNG terminal Beihai a 4th LNG tanker carrying LNG from the US sanctioned Arctic LNG-2 project of NOVATEK has arrived. The US has to act or the sanctions will become meaningless.

Poland and the rest of the EU nations should also consider closing its airspace to Belarussian "Belavia" now the US has lifted sanctions on it.

Clearly there's a lack of windows to fall from in Kaliningrad
Russian media reported that Alexey Sinitsyn, head of K-Potash Service, was found decapitated in Kaliningrad.

He is at least the 19th top manager in Russia to die under mysterious circumstances, following similar deaths of executives from Gazprom, Lukoil, Novatek, Transneft, and Uralkali.
