Mrs Ocho has decided that every time I get food from a place she doesn't like, there is at least one item on the menu she still needs. When I get Indian, she needs cheese naan. Don't blame her, though, cheese naan is delicious.
That's it. It's been a week. I'm picking up Indian on my way home. Lunch special goes until 3 pm, so I'm right under the wire.

Taking Little Ocho with me has now led us to being able to see behind the counter of our local Post Office AND Dominos. I never remember as a kid being able to see behind the counters.

So I talked with the manager of our local Wendys, and they said it was a change in all their sauces, not just S&S. He thought it was a terrible decision and has no idea why they did it. His best guess was focus testing and "the kids like things spicy". Not wrong, but still.
Give me your best conspiracy takes here. For what reason would Wendys stop making sweet and sour sauce?

Little Ocho, holding his title of our county's most prolific child reader, just finished this years competition, which ended last Wednesday, with a grand total of 225 books read. Smashing his previous record. Think he'll win again or will there be cheaters like we saw in other grades last year?
Little Ocho won a reading competition for our county, clocking in 115 books in a month. I thought "nobody's going to believe us" until I saw the other grades winners totals at, like, 500 and 600. I absolutely don't believe them. 115 is downright reasonable comparitively.

I play games, I post about them a lot, I read a lot of gaming news sites, I'm very knowledgeable about the industry and I don't give a shit about game awards shows. In a year when so many game devs were laid off at the expense of profit margins, it feels really tone-deaf. They should be boycotted.

We have a large grove of towering trees right next to our home that is both a source of wonder and big anxiety for me. Foxes, owls, deer, ravens, turkey, we've seen all kinds of wildlife from our trees. Then this morning it drops a heavy 20’ branch that lands just next to our front door. 😵💫
