For @texasmonthly.bsky.social I detailed my deep love of (and futile quest for) Central Texas' most secretive lizard
The Two-Foot-Long Texas Lizard That’s Nearly Impossible to Find
After encountering the large but elusive reptile a few years ago, I was determined to find one again.

Anyway, by accepting some of these folks' requests I have come to realize that at substantial portion of Xennials are Boomers in hiding and are still posting like it is 2006 full of recipes and weird stuff.
For some dumb reason I've been letting a few HS friends/acquaintances I haven't spoken to in 2+ decades friend me on FB. I nuked my original acct in 2015 and avoided this ever since. It was relatively quiet for a while but now the uptick is increasing and not sure how I feel about that yet....

Per quorum report, Jasmine Crockett is making a special announcement next Monday, most likely a Senate run.

And for the life of me, I don't understand how Dems finally have some good candidates and they're all bound and determined to run against each other for the same race.

*goes to request more CDs from my library to rip*

Been building out my music library this way the last few weeks. Have a long way to go and CDs at home in my own library to work through. But you know what, I already have much of what I already listen to set up on my old phone!

Got around to finishing it yesterday. 10/10. No complaints.

Gonna have to stock up on all of the jasmine/ylang-ylang candles and diffusers they have (bcs they are my favorite) for the inevitability Target goes out of business in the next two years. Just absolute trash to see this. The problem is that I know too many people who use CGPT IRL!

Ugh, the forecast for next week looks like Texas winter which is mostly grey, some rain, and moderately "cold", which is 40s and 50s, maybe an occasional 60s. blargh.

Not counting a jumping spider I logged last week in my office, I haven't done any legitimate iNatting since Nov 2nd since I've basically been holing up every weekend to finish writing my book by the end of the year. Looking forward to hiking this week some.

Took a day off Vyvanse today due to some weird chest/anxiety vibes it was giving me. I still did a lot but was significantly lazier about it and easily could have rotted on the couch all day instead. But hey, food was good today at least. Might eat a few more brownies and find something salty.

Jennifer Ehle's performance in 1923 as an abusive nun is...damn. Talk about some acting skills.

Glad someone posted this. I finally looked into it yesterday and followed the directions and all it did was screw up my inbox sorting. So, I turned it back on. It has been like this for years anyway.
The malwarebytes Google opting-your-emails-into-ai-training thing is not true. The post is based on one bad tweet.

I know anti-tech lamenting is a Bluesky core principle, but please use the same judgement you would for any other clickbait.

My dad: chain smoker until around 1990. Kept drinking until things really got bad circa 1998. Sober since then. But that was funneled into stimming with food and snacking on candy, which affected his weight and heart condition. But he had "selective hearing" acc to docs in the 90s...lol
I am genuinely convinced that one of the reasons it used to be thought that most people grew out of ADHD as adults was how common smoking was.
