Mostly nature.

I delete posts regularly.
I would love to retire somewhere rural but then I talk to some older folks I know who just live in a rural area in deep E. Tx and they all drive the 2 hrs to Houston for their specialists! At some point you can't drive or have someone take you, so then you are SOL. Has me rethinking a lot.

I did once, two years ago. I was trying to see if it could dig up anything more than I had on a developer who was buying a former state park. Turns out, it knew everything I already knew and was unhelpful. I deleted my acct right after. Turns out, Google sleuthing is still the way to go.

For @texasmonthly.bsky.social I detailed my deep love of (and futile quest for) Central Texas' most secretive lizard
The Two-Foot-Long Texas Lizard That’s Nearly Impossible to Find
After encountering the large but elusive reptile a few years ago, I was determined to find one again.

Yes! I'm going to need a new car probably next year or the year after and I don't like any of my current options other than the VW Atlas. Would love a car that's not an crossover/SUV but also not a "car".

I find you even lose this quickly even when just getting into the suburbs in Texas but if I get myself into a small diner in east Texas it quickly feels like I'm surrounded by my (long dead) relatives in the 80s and 90s again.

The only downside to quitting Spotify is that I really did find new artists there. Stuff I would never hear on the radio or elsewhere. I went back to Pandora for a week and it sucks in comparison.

Anyway, an old softball teammate requested tonight...poking around her page...apparently her oldest daughter got married last summer. I'm over here in the tween years and people are having grandkids. lol wtaf. Mid-40s are an odd time. Not sure if I'll approve her request yet. Too religious for me.
