Some of my relatives have (unfortunately) learned of the existence of AlphaFold2. I have spectacularly failed to persuade my second oldest uncle on my mother's side that artificial intelligence isn't magic.

This is what I admire about science as a process. The desire to understand the world around us yields the tools to reject various forms of needless suffering as "a fact of life". Can't wait to see future developments.

I love Disco Elysium, but every play through I find myself oscillating (within the same run) between: quietly basking in the moments when Kim reveals his interests and beliefs, and drenching him in phantasmagoria in an effort to shed his reserved manner.

I really love old poster graphics from that time period and figured it was a fitting theme!

I come from a somewhat sizeable family (as do my parents). A (possibly) pleasant side effect of such an extended family (with a majority still living in the same town) is that you are never out of earshot of a large schism vying for dominance within the political sphere formed entirely of relatives.

In a better mood today. Recently finished re-watching Twin Peaks. The future feels pleasantly uncertain again, and the Earth's spin no longer feels fast or forceful.

There's more that ought be said than will fit within 300 characters. For now, I'll say that I'm not giving up. The present administration of my country and its misanthropy aren't worth a damn, but there's a great big land full of people that's worth fighting for.

Stop trying to make the furry fandom palatable to normies by downplaying and denigrating the sexuality thats always been present in it 2025. Sanitizing the sexuality of a largely queer community to make randos on the internet think you aren't weird is coward shit. Horny furries are cool.

I'm rewriting a C program in assembly to minimize runtime (it's purpose is to resolve a chess question). I have sparse experience with assembly so I've picked up one of AMD's Programmer Manuals to brush up. I lament that if I had better command of C then this whole situation could've been avoided.

Last night I watched "Hundreds of Beavers". I'm currently of the persuasion that it is the greatest film of all time. It's charming, it's crass, and it's straight up kooky. I'd further contend that it's a prime example of how to take inspiration from previous works and make something that is more.

Quite a delightful bit of whimsy.

At the risk of putting a damper on your timeline, I'd like to extend my sympathies to any artists currently migrating their audience from the site under Mr. Musk's purview. And for whatever it's worth — coming from someone that doesn't regularly check their social media feeds — I wish you well.
