I find that horror is more important in times of unrest.
Many people prefer the horrors of fiction over the horrors in the real world.
In fiction, there's an end. There's a resolution. There's closure, no matter how horrific.
We don't get that kind of comfort in the real world.

Apologies to my followers as I've become more political as of late! This used to just be movies! But it has been incredibly disheartening to see the lack of rage and urgency from many on the Left - especially those in power. Now more than ever we need to organize, be loud, angry and not mince words.

In my years of reporting on LGBTQ news this was by far the hardest.
But we are still here. You made it to Friday. You lived. Good job. That wasn’t easy.

I’m at a video game competition/conference with one of the kids. It is amazing. Lots of “weirdos” (in the best way) just being themselves. This is the America I want to live in. I want people to be able to not fit in and find their own way.
