I can’t tell you how different it is on X now after so many people have left. I have always followed mostly right-wing accounts because I cover them, and they are running out of people to pick fights with. So they’re just mostly fighting with each other.

When right-wing scum tried to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer, Republicans made excuses.

When a lunatic beat Paul Pelosi with a hammer, they made jokes.

And when Donald Trump sent a mob to attack the Capitol, they made up lies and Ivanka called them Patriots.

Don’t lecture us about condemning violence.

While Trump was announcing Pam Bondi as his new AG nominee, Steve Bannon was pushing Ken Paxton, further demonstrating that Trump no longer cares what he has to say. Paxton is on here groveling and begging for the job he isn’t getting, but doesn’t realize yet.

Don't forget how many Republicans were STILL publicly willing to stick their necks out for Matt Gaetz knowing what he's accused of. Not only was it for nothing given the failed AG bid, but they proved themselves wiling to run cover for an alleged CHILD SEX TRAFFICKER. Was it worth it, Republicans?

While I assume he’ll have a podcast up and running in the next few weeks, Matt Gaetz *finally* getting out of Congress is a tiny silver lining of the last two weeks.

Gaetz withdrawal is encouraging, not just because we won't have AG Gaetz but because it's taken Trump about two weeks to squander his supposedly invincible mandate and remind everyone of his staggering incompetence and dysfunction—which, per last time, are the main checks on his power.

A lot of folks are giving up in advance. Capitulating before a single skirmish.

Well, not this old warrior. I’ve seen much worse from the U.S. government in my day. I’m concerned for our country, but not a bit scared of these miscreants. I’m ready to do my part.

Signs of weakness for Trump.

1. Overplayed “mandate” - under 50%; historically small margin.

2. Senate Majority Leader vote quickly eliminated MAGA candidate. Thune won.

3. Attorney General nomination looks headed to defeat.

4. Birthright citizenship opening gambit most likely D.O.A. in court.
the distance from “i think i have this power” to “i actually have this power” is also a long one and can be contested like anything else

Right-wingers are not coming to this platform for any reason other than to be obnoxious trolls to people who just want to be left alone. They are not here for any useful or constructive purpose. They only want to tear down and insult. It’s all they know. It’s how they live.

Hard to build a more perfect representation of a typical Republican if you tried.
A Trump supporting, anti-trans, anti-gay Republican was elected commissioner of the county where I grew up. He won despite being in jail on election night for a sexual assault in Vegas.

It’s now come out that the woman he assaulted was his daughter.

I wanted to share what I am doing to keep myself sane right now (post election). I have unsubscribed from all newspapers and instead using that money toward supporting writers on Substack. I have avoided legacy news as I blame them for sane washing Trump. I am focused on taking care of my family.
