Before Trump, law enforcement were trained to behave professionally. At a traffic stop they would start with words such as "Mam, may I see your drivers license and registration."

Fwiw while not perfect, Canada / Canadian media was at the forefront of this last year and the rest of the world could do well to follow.
That being said, you won't see any think pieces about how we should boycott US video games, or how players shouldn't travel to esports events in the US, or how you're supporting the US by buying from US companies, or how US citizens are evil for not overthrowing their government etc.
