Hard to overstate how deranged this is.
A congressional staffer staged a violent political hoax—paid someone to cut her, then blamed it on opponents.

This isn’t “passion” or “activism.”
It’s deceit, self-harm, and weaponized disinformation from inside a congressional office.

For the next few months a lot of people in tech and finance are going to try and convince you "No one could have seen this coming".

Not only is this patently untrue; but I have receipts to prove it.

The writing on the wall for this crisis' arrival has been plain as day since the start of 2025.
This is why I have been 100% certain of this being an imminent crash since DeepSeek was released.

The order of magnitude was the nuclear bomb, not the company.

It's like if the "Sputnik" moment allowed every country in the world some level of access to their own space program.
This is so funny god damn. After all the attempts to tear down DeepSeek's training costs it might turn out that anyone can do it on the cheap. Amazing!

The administration is building a legal pathway for ad hoc grant terminations:

"if the agency determines that the award no longer effectuates the program goals or agency priorities"

Converting multiyear grants to 'at whim' coin flips will undermine the stability & leadership of American science.
Update on a significant development NIH grant terms.

On 10/1, a change to grant making regs went into effect that gives NIH more power to terminate grants for policy reasons.

But to use this power, new grant terms must include specific language. See @aniloza.bsky.social w/ the story from July.

How incredibly disgusting.

Megyn Kelly defends Epstein saying he was "into the barely legal type", a 15 year old for example, not an 8 yr old.

A guy who traffics and has sex with 15 year old is a RAPIST and PEDOPHILE Megyn.
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."
