I’ll keep pushing this line of analysis because I’m increasingly convinced the clearest path out of this mess is for Dems to adopt a relentless anti-corruption, anti-inequality, anti-oligarchy, pro-democracy platform. The Dem leadership hasn’t realized it yet, but they’re now a reform party.

This morning federal agents arrested two hard working immigrants on my street because they didn’t have their papers on them, and tried to arrest my neighbor because his green card was in his house rather than on his person.
We are now a “show me your papers” state, and it is outrageous. Get angry.

How about the Dems come out and say: We protect human rights and the rule of law. Everything pretty much falls under those headings; electeds can get as granular as they like about issues facing their districts.
