I've always been a very vocal supporter of "just download random games"
It's so fun just downloading games you know nothing about. Just pick a console, get games based purely on the titles, and try them out. I could do it for hours.

tbh as much as official rereleases are good for accessibility, I also feel like a lot of people just won't play games if they don't have official versions and that's not great for culture. Everyone should be downloading random ROMs until they find that special one that breaks their brain wide open.

Official releases are good for accessibility until they aren't.
What do I mean by that? Well, official releases go off the market eventually and become unavailable from the publisher directly, thus becoming driven by the whim of the secondhand market, or digitally wiped from existence.

Y'all I'm so tired of asking for help, I don't even want money anymore I just want this stupid microwave and some dry shampoo. just had to spend 35 bucks on gas today and the lap desk I got for my first 3 weeks of surgery recovery game with some disgusting residue on it and I'm just TIRED and angry

Not to be the fun police but I do hope people know that Arc Raiders does use generative AI for voice acting, and by supporting the game you're letting higher-ups know that this is an okay practice.
They try to downplay this on the Steam store page by describing the AI usage as vaguely as possible.
