Puerto Rico had a universal healthcare system based on the English NHS and it worked! This isn't ancient history, I had access to better healthcare when I was a 5 year old from a dirt poor family than I could get in PR now, as an upper-middle class professional.

What I hate the most about liberal ignorance on Puerto Rico, is that they often say shit like this & don’t even know that the annexation party has actively made conditions in this island worse by adopting US policy on literally anything. WE USED TO HAVE UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE UNTIL PEDRO ROSSELLÓ.
Honestly, more than time to just write up a good new one. All the cool countries with universal healthcare do it. Let's get Puerto Rico, D.C., etc., statehood, while we're at it.
