Tariffs do nothing to lower costs for Virginia families.

They raise prices and squeeze our farmers and manufacturers.

We need smart trade policy — not political stunts.

This is the economic equivalent of treating Covid with disinfectant and UV light.

It makes sense when you realize by narcissism he pathologically believes he's brilliant and has special knowledge and powers, and by psychopathy he doesn't care who he hurts or destroys.

Do you know who laid the foundation for the FDA?

President Theodore Roosevelt. Do you know why? Because he read a great piece of literature that exposed the mistreatment of immigrant workers and the disgusting, unsanitary practices in meatpacking plants…

The book is called “The Jungle.”

Never forget that Trump was the culmination of 40 years of stagnant wages, widening inequality, corruption, dog-whistle politics, and economic gains for the rich.

If we fail to address this, we should expect future Trumps as far as the eye can see.

I’ve been in or around politics for over a half-century now. I’ve watched as corporations ransacked our system. In 1952, the corporate share of federal tax revenue was 32%. In 2020, it was down to 7%. Here’s how we break the corporate oligarchy and return power to the people. Treasury Department officials admitted today that the agency “mistakenly” and “briefly” gave a member of Musk’s DOGE team the power to alter a sensitive federal payments database. The disclosure undercuts the Trump administration’s repeated claims that access was limited to a “read-only” basis.

NOAA houses the National Weather Service and National Hurricane Center, which produce forecasts and warn people about storms.

To America’s 2.3 million federal employees:

Don’t accept a buyout.

Neither Musk nor even Trump has the legal authority to make such an offer.

And even if they did, would you trust them to follow through on it?

Think firing the entire federal workforce will save America money?

Federal civilian employees account for just 4% of the federal budget. Even if someone like Musk—or any president—fired all of us, it wouldn’t make much of a dent in government spending. Don’t fall for it.
