A friendly reminder to pre-order Dread Mondays to read the twisted little short story that @drspookyer.bsky.social and I wrote featuring video rentals and disturbing found footage!

I love that there's a long-standing tradition of Christmas ghost stories (A Christmas Carol was just one of several Dickens wrote, for example), so Christmas horror movies just feel like a natural extension of that.

Do you suffer from headaches? Have you tried leeches, laudanum, and lobotomies with no success? Try “The Fatal Mind”! These migraine chips really work with *minimal side effects!

Definitely need to do a Scream Kings episode soon because I have THOUGHTS. I overall really liked it, but as I just finished teaching the novel, I'm especially keen to explore what was adapted very well and what didn't work for me.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 isn't just a good game, it's excellent science fiction storytelling.

This should be one of the frontrunners for next year's Hugo Award for Best Game.

Why is it that Autumn is the only season with a nickname? I feel like I've only known Spring by its nickname my whole life: c'mon, what's the name on its driver's license?

Space Jam is a cinematic masterpiece that I still regularly watch in my 30s. The sequel makes my eyes want to bleed.
you know, the original SPACE JAM was not some kind of masterpiece — it wasn’t even particularly good — but it feels like SEVEN SAMURAI compared to the sequel (watching it with my kids right now)

Fun story. My mom got me Operation and didn’t tell me it scared the shit out of you when you hit the sides. BZZT! I ran out the front door so fast and when I see the game I get flashbacks 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Mom ruined my chances of being a surgeon 😭😆😉
I don’t think the tweezers will fix this one
