Nice, so my son is supposed to give a year of his life in military or social service to a society that isn't willing to invest 1350€ (over 11 years) in a "headstart pension" for him, because it is too expensive. Welcome to intergenerational justice and solidarity in Germany in the year 2025...

In 2016, Juergen Knoblich was an organizer for the first #EESOrgan.

Today,he gave a magnificent talk about cerebral organoids that help to recapitulate processes occurring in humans after birth and linked to various developmental disorders.

Amazing research 🤯

Amazing talk by Paola Arlotta (Harvard Stem Cell Institute) to kick off #EESOrgan
Hugely impressive:They were able to culture brain organoids for 5 years, and created complex models through co-culturing cells from different brain regions.
Also enjoyable:A short discussion about brain organoid ethics😇

For Valentine’s Day, here’s an old poem; as old as they get, in fact.

It’s considered to be the world’s oldest surviving love poem, written 1.5 million years ago by one of our earliest ancestors, homo unrequitus.
