Absolutely soaked but 18th Ave was hoping. Kiddo kept saying “Best Halloween ever!” Can’t tell if it was because of the candy or the live jazz band.

Almost got hit by a dude on Roanoke who sped past us right off our back wheel into the oncoming lane and ran a red light. I jumped on the sidewalk, caught up to him, and yelled. He rolls down the window and goes “I’m a doctor.”

“DHS account of events are simply unreliable.”
UPDATE: In emailed statement to me / @reason.com, DHS alleges that WGN-TV producer Debbie Brockman "threw objects at Border Patrol’s car and she was placed under arrest for assault on a federal law enforcement officer."

Dr. Jane Goodall filmed an interview with Netflix in March 2025 that she understood would only be released after her death.

In case you were wondering how the Seattle mayor debate went…
In addition to not understanding how change happens (it isn't the suits who sign the bill or cut the ribbon, it's the advocates who push against the status quo and force institutions to move), Harrell takes credit for every success in his vicinity and blames others for every failure on his watch.

Such a profound loss. I had an anthropology professor in college who had the opportunity to meet Jane Goodall and said that when talking to her you felt like you were the only person in the room. Truly the best of us.

My mom is going to be so pissed.
I don’t know when it’s going to pop for a lot of normies that they are living under an authoritarian regime, but the cancellation of popular TV shows that make fun of the administration might do it www.vulture.com/article/abc-...
ABC Pulls Jimmy Kimmel Live! From the Air ‘Indefinitely’
The decision follows conservative backlash to a comment the late-night host made about Charlie Kirk.

Had to drop the kiddo at Discovery Park this morning and I think that Elliot Bay Trail to the waterfront might be peak Seattle bike commuting. Can’t imagine after that EBC project is done.

I don’t bike through Fremont often but I’m extremely confused as to what the expected route is to get from the Fremont bridge to the Westlake cycle track.

Are we supposed to bunch up on that tiny pedestrian island crosswalk, backtrack to the ship canal trail, or ride against traffic on the bridge?

FFS. Can’t even do the bare minimum.
Seattle Parks has finally broken the silence on phase 2 of planned traffic calming on Lake Washington Boulevard...and has officially dropped ANY additional speed cushions from the plan, along with a redesign of the intersection at S Orcas Street to improve pedestrian safety.
