I just spent 20 minutes silently trying to ascertain whether a specific woman was for or against trans rights before realizing she was, in fact, trans.
I simultaneously feel stupidly oblivious, and proud of myself for always letting people show me who they are before forming an opinion about them.

First, many SNAP recipients have jobs. They’re just living below the poverty line because of tremendous wealth inequality.
Second, many are disabled and children and can’t work.

It is unfathomable to me that we’re all just supposed to be okay with higher energy costs and more air and light pollution, in exchange for a machine that steals personal data and copyrighted material and produces slop and wage theft, and big tech can do this to our society unilaterally.
