Speaking for myself, I’ve never had a crisis of faith because I suddenly realized "Wow, I don't believe any of this." It’s always come from looking around at other Christians — the ones I was supposed to look up to, guys like Mike Johnson — and realizing "Wow, *they* don’t believe any of this."

This is JD’s problem. Not yours. Not mine. If he didn’t want to get booed in front of his kids, he could’ve made different choices. He still can. Public disgrace is part of the job when your job is making life worse for millions of people.
People who feel bad for JD Vance’s kids as family gets booed at Disneyland. I get it, but better those kids know now what their father is about. Other kids are watching their parents get shipped off to gulags.

She died before we could even begin to truly grieve the death of Duane Rollins, without whom the Southern Baptist abuse crisis would have never come to light. Losing them both in two weeks is unbearable in ways I didn’t know possible. It is pain so deep that it takes your breath away.
