🚨BREAKING: Federal Court permanently BLOCKS Trump executive order targeting my former law firm, Perkins Coie.

Executive Order 14230, entitled “Addressing Risks from Perkins Coie LLP,” violates the First, Fifth, and Sixth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution and is therefore null and void

Kudos to the law firm Arnold & Porter. It is the largest law firm that is not either itself target by Trump or representing a firm targeted by Trump to sign the amicus brief in support of Perkins Coie. Put another way, A&P has no direct financial interest in the outcome of the case and yet signed.

Okay so I'm late to paying attention at city level, specifically. Who wants to tell me about Mpls for the Many & All of Mpls? Who are these people & what's going on here? I assume it's Frey/not-Frey division but is that accurate and is there more?

This post has really blown up. Which is encouraging! I'm still angry because I believe in my profession. I know it sounds naive but I honestly believe that lawyers owe an obligation to something bigger, other than themselves. And I am pissed as hell that other lawyers seem to see it differently.
I am very angry. Which is weird for me because I don't usually get angry. (Depressed is more my speed). But I am very angry at the cowards, the betrayers of our oath, the colleagues who joined my profession but now abandon any pretense of pursuing the ideals of the rule of law.
