Please, Apple, do this one right.
Neuromancer by @greatdismal.bsky.social finally gets a TV series. Could be amazing, but expectations will be high from all of us who read these books when we were young.

Count Zero was a personal fave.

I shared this photo a week or so ago on Mani’s birthday
- It never failed to bring a smile to my face - and that was exactly the same for the man himself.

One of the absolute best in every way - such a beautiful friend

A new novel by @emilymandel.bsky.social OH HELL YES

If you have not yet read "Station Eleven" or "The Glass Hotel" get to your local library, bookstore, bookshop.org or libro.fm. I would read "Station Eleven" first, just because a couple of characters from that book appear in the next one.

Just a reminder: The tenth anniversary editions of the original Southern Reach trilogy are still out in the wild, selling well. NYT bestsellers and on a lot of best-of-decade or this century lists. With new intros by Karen Joy Fowler, NK Jemisin, and Helen MacDonald. Buy from you favorite indie.

apart from its inherent qualities as a comic strip, I really appreciate that Watterson resisted the urge to franchise and merchandise C&H. There's no animated movie, no tv show, no line of toys, no ipad game.

it exists in its entirety as a comic strip written and drawn entirely by one man.
Happy birthday to Bill Watterson, the creator of Calvin and Hobbes! Born on July 5, 1958.
