Okay, introduction thread. I'll make this my pinned post.

So, hi. I'm Nick. I don't post often, but if I do, it'll probably be about cycling, comics, mental health, TV shows & movies, my cats, and social justice.

I'm left leaning as hell and angry the world is leaning more and more the other way.
Well, that's a pleasant surprise to read right before I go to bed. :D
Over the last week, I read (on audio book) The Dame Was a Tad Polish by our very own @nickpiers.bsky.social.
It's a murder mystery with a twist, quite a big twist.
Anyway, despite some initial skepticism I got caught up in it, listening every chance I could, to find out whodunit. 👍👍

DC is apparently against making boatloads of money.
Hello, police? I'd like to report a robbery.

Me, today:

1) Did 45 minutes total of DDP Yoga (10 minute Wake Up this morning, 35 minute Fat Burner this evening)

2) Walked to and from work, getting more boxes for moving on the way home.

3) Stated counting calories again with the LoseIt app.

Hey you. Yeah, you with the face.

Tell me three good things about your day.

It could be something big like winning an award, or as little as making the bed. Whatever made you feel good about your day today. #3GoodThings

Any Star Wars ranking that doesn't include Hidden Fortress is wrong.

Speaking of objective movies, I think we can all agree that Sausage Party is the wurst movie of all time.

Thank you, I'll be here all week! Please tip your server!

Okay, fine. I'll do it.

Here's the definitive, inarguable, objective Star Wars film ranking.

1) Star Wars Holiday Special
2) Hidden Fortress
3) Spaceballs
4) Galaxy Quest
5) The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug
6) Dick Tracy
7) Ewoks: The Battle for Endor
8) The Fifth Element
9) The Last Starfighter

Wait wait wait. Hold the phone. Are you telling me that more bicycle infrastructure will get more people biking?

I am shocked - SHOCKED - by this revelation.
The latest evaluation of bike lane projects in Boston continues to show that if you build bike infrastructure, people will use it.

Hahahahahahaha!
Twitter had to turn off its location feature within hours because thousands of prominent and "verified" MAGA accounts turned out to be foreign and I think it's hilarious that Elon was the one who exposed them all

What do we say to the God of Death, Charlie Brown?
And now, Charlie Brown, I give the watch to you.

I did not heed Terri's advice.

I read the comments.

Can confirm. They're awful.
Here’s a what not to do when driving. Don’t cut cyclists or other road users off. It’s dangerous. (Warning, the dashcam group is toxic, I do not recommend reading the comments….ever!)

Well, I WAS going to get out of bed, but SOMEONE decided by belly was the perfect spot for bird watching. I won't name names (Mr. RUFF!), but this does delay my day a little.

I'm moving in 10 days (just from Dartmouth over to Halifax), and I feel so woefully underprepared. I keep trying to get banana boxes from Sobeys or No Frills, but when I go, they don't have any. I haven't booked a mover. And I'm just terrified of what to do.

I am once again thinking about how the GOP killed Civics education and thus made certain whole generations in the US have NO FUCKING CLUE HOW GOVERNMENT IS MEANT TO WORK...
...nor the citizen's PLACE IN IT.

Mother. Fuckers.

I swear, talking to customers who can't hear me is like talking to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

Third date tonight. We're going to go play pool instead of the original plans.

I can't believe it's only been a week since we matched on Bumble. I'm thinking of getting her some flowers for our "anniversary."
