Did a little test yesterday and the YouTube account is now linked to the RSS feed.
All missing episodes have been added and from now on, they will automatically port over, saving me having to do a separate version. 🥳

1/2 Haven't been able to upload the Euro Step Brit Podcast to YouTube for a while but finally sorted the issue. Hopefully it also means the stats can be collated from it as well now. But it won't start until the next episode is released and it filters into YouTube via the RSS feed.
So for now...

I thought this was going to turn into a story needing its own True Crime Netflix series, but no.
This is quite something.

Was great that The Euro Step Brit Podcast got a shout out on the latest episode of the Sunday Night Breakdown.
Thanks to @danroutledge.bsky.social & @shieldsbrief.bsky.social for the mention.
It's a great pod, ideal for breaking down all the SLB games.

❌ Ban home fireworks
🎆 Permit licensed firework displays
🛩️Encourage silent fireworks/drone displays

I'll be accused of being another "if in doubt, ban it" merchant, and it would be a fair challenge. But home fireworks cause enough harm and suffering to humans and animals to warrant a ban.

I thought this segment of the Sunday Night Breakdown was too important not to share. I fully support the idea that
@danroutledge.bsky.social & @shieldsbrief.bsky.social
are talking about.
What say you?

Today’s fun tax tip…

(It’s a similarly daft situation that railways pay tax on fuel/energy but airlines don’t pay any tax on their aviation fuel, a huge hidden subsidy)

Private jets don't pay fuel tax. Now I don't either.

Recorded a podcast episode during the AWS outage last week. Assumed at time - after skimming audio - that it was all good. Turns out when editing there was a couple of issues.
A long edit later, we're finally ready to go. Euro Step Brit subscribers will be notified first!

Personal basketball news, but I had planned not to do any SLB commentaries this season due to work commitments. But have been offered the chance to cover for a couple of clubs on occasion.
I do love commentating, so listen out, I'm back next month!

Brighton vs Newcastle United in the Premier League.

Quinn Ellis, welcome to #Euroleague!

Euroleague career highs of 15 points and 3 assists, along with 2 rebounds and a steal. Came up big tonight when it mattered and Milan win on the road at Zalgiris Kaunas.

If all goes well, I can start recording new episodes of The Euro Step Brit podcast from next week. Work has been so busy lately, but I really want to bring you more interviews from the world of basketball.
Today, I begin the process of reaching out to people. Wish me luck! 🤞

Five's the magic number!

Bristol Flyers now have a 5-game winning streak in ENBL dating back to last season (club record).

Newcastle Eagles' record win streak is 5 in ENBL (last season).

And London Lions twice won 5 in a row in Europe, in both FIBA Europe Cup (2021-22) and EuroCup (2023-24).

From Wednesday's game between London Lions and Zalgiris.
Sat in the same row, same seat that I used to occupy when doing the EuroCup sideline reporting back in 2022-23 season.
