A win🌟.

"Transgender Representatives Zooey Zephyr and SJ Howell gave impassioned speeches—this time, they broke through.

In a stunning turn, 29 Republicans defected, killing both bills. One Republican even took the floor to deliver a scathing rebuke of the bill’s sponsor."

Can we please stop pretending to be surprised by the lying? If that’s all you’ve got, you haven’t been paying attention.
Horrific: One of the USAID programs Trump just terminated was set to deliver lifesaving treatment to hundreds of thousands of starving kids abroad. Much of it is now sitting in a Georgia warehouse.

Rubio's promise to preserve urgent assistance was a lie.

If it’s not an agency, then its tens of millions of dollars in funding weren’t legally allocated and should be returned, some contend.

If you've managed to remain safe from the LA fires but have lost power and are using a portable generator, remember to keep it outdoors and make sure your carbon monoxide (CO) alarms are working. 1 generator can produce as much CO as hundreds of cars and CO can kill in minutes.

Reminder - it's easy to judge a situation from afar. You have to bring the safety home. How much do you know about your fire department? Do you know its average response time? Its capacity for responding to a natural disaster? Does your local gov have a plan for that kind of response? Is it public?
