A 15 month old child - playing with him, and as important watching him play is my ocean. I sit with him and switch all the distractions off, not just the electronics, but my considerations, plans, and wonders as well.
A thoroughly refreshing and rewarding 10 or 15 minutes, 2 or 3 times a day.

Kimbal Musk has publicly admitted that he and his brother Elon were in the country illegally for years before applying for citizenship—so unless they admitted this on their immigration forms, they must be deported immediately.

Every journalist should be buzzing about this.

It is a very short list of things they are good at ….
I know that everyone is like “oh the whole point of this is to destroy CBS, they actually want to run it into the ground” and I’m sure plenty of folks will be happy if they do

but David Ellison and Bari Weiss don’t want that! they really think they’ve got something! they are just very bad at this
Bari Weiss’ much-hyped CBS News town hall with Erika Kirk was a massive ratings flop

One U.S. citizen said that federal agents in Idaho pointed guns at her children, ages 6 and 8, and dragged her 14-year-old daughter out of a truck and zip-tied her.

The mother told investigators that an agent threatened to “fucking blow your head off.”

This part in a Senate GOP health plan is a good idea: "The Republicans' plan in the Senate included a proposal for people to get up to $1,500 in health savings accounts for Americans earning less than 700% of the federal poverty level..."
Not likely to be in any bill this time.
Maybe the next one.

We all could use a “How Things Work” version that addresses things social instead of mechanical.
(A perennial bestseller)
I liked Dunkelman's book but this op-ed is based on the same fallacy that leads some people to think fascist Italy and Germany were models of efficient administration.
There is such a thirst in some progressive centrist circles that they will look at the Trump administration as a model to get things done. I think its worth addressing the argument. This is from Mark Dunkelman, author of the widely praised "Why Nothing Works."

This hypocrisy is shameful.

- U.S. politicians enjoy universal healthcare.
- Living wages.
- Paid sick leave, too.

But they vote NO for workers on all three.

Vote OUT anti-worker politicians (Dems & GOP). Vote in public servants committed to justice above all else

Reminder that all the "pardons" granted to Jan6ers whose convictions were still pending were auto-pen pardons.
Trump claims “any document” signed by Joe Biden is “hereby terminated.”

He calls out executive orders later but obviously “any document” would be much broader and include legislation.

(He can’t legally do that but, as always, we get to watch how far he can push this without repercussions)
