I saw this story and was disgusted by our country.
His patients are amazing.
The people who contributed are angels.
Our country?
Fucking garbage country that would let this man suffer when he has given so much to so many.

Arguably we are overdue for what is happening now. I think that's why so many communities of color are upset but not spiraling. White people are experiencing our reality. Trust the government? Why? The US government unified to oppress and not much else. Certainly not to progress

Not spiraling. But so angry. When my mother was my age, the world literally opened up for her with progressive policies and civil rights. She could vote, have a credit card, etc. Just as she was blossoming, the WORLD moved w/ her.

I feel like this all boils down to gay men being men. The inverse is true with straight men and sexualizing women, even lesbian and queer women. Men are conditioned to believe that they have a birth right access to people’s bodies, and being gay doesn’t absolve you from that conditioning.
Gay men need to really work on letting straight men be straight and allys. We say straight allyship is important especially from men they need to get rid of homophobia etc but why do we then turn around and sexualize them, try to turn them out, accuse them of being gay??? Do we want ally’s or not?
