Haven’t really shown yet what I’ve been up to the last year or so, since big chunks of the community migrated here from Twitter.

I’m picking up the camera a lot less these days, but focusing mainly on photographing small gigs, jams, some artist portraits, all on film ofc. #believeinfilm #aberdeen

The financial services compensation scheme account limit suddenly being uplifted 50% for the first time in years feels like one of those things that was meant to be reassuring, but gives off massive Northern Rock implosion vibes.

Rediscovered Sleigh Bells today, I remember buying this album when it released in 2010, specifically because the NME reported that the sleeve notes stated something like ‘do not adjust your sound system, it’s meant to sound distorted’ youtu.be/nTWZtFgnUcc

I love that the Boston cop slide never got fixed and now people just willingly go down it in tribute. It’s basically a national landmark at this point

What a great article. I was saying last night that Metal has always been pretty inclusive, it's a truly outsider genre. Just ignore that frat rock period that nearly destroyed it. It's always been a home for the disaffected, & accepting of people's differences.
Read it and your day will get better. www.hcn.org/issues/57-11...

Local firework displays are in full swing and upsetting my cat. He hates fireworks - not because of the noise - he just can't stand the thought of people enjoying themselves.

Went for an eye test this morning and it turns out I don’t actually need a new prescription, everything really does just look like that now.

Had to leave work early and I’m just now hearing about a colleague who’s got themselves a fancy electric bike on the cycle to work scheme, and stacked it in the car park trying to show off on their way out the gate in front of loads of other colleagues.

Going to plead for the CCTV footage tomorrow.
