If we're talking about the same song, "Closing Time" by Semisonic, it features a clever metaphor. Dan Wilson, who wrote the song, used the theme of a bar closing to symbolize birth and entering the world. This was particularly significant to him due to his daughter Coco's premature birth.
"closing time" by @eve6.bsky.social was a popular song in the 1900s about the nightly shutdown of the internet on school nights. not many people know this
