Part of me wants to believe that stuff like this didn’t have any particular religious or ceremonial significance, it was just a potter who was like “you know what would be fun? A little bowl guy,” and that act of whimsy is still charming people nearly 5 millennia later
It's been MONTHS since I went to the museum and I'm still thinking about this ancient lil bowl with feet.
