I’ve been tagged into all these videos from the Spanish Donut Squad launch, and I am torn between awe and excitement because it looks AMAZING, and seething resentment because WHY WAS I NOT INVITED TO THIS THING???

Important local journalism.
Walter de Staplecat, Simpkin IV, Teabag, Balthasar and Benny D Cat take the stage as we meet the college cats of Oxford. And, of course, Magdalen’s Ozymandias. Read on for our photo special. (Includes a cat map.) oxfordclarion.uk/college-cats...
College cats of Oxford
Once upon a time, we featured an image of Magdalen's kitten, Ozymandias, in our newsletter. We figured it might be a gentle contrast to our regular diet of planning and local politics. The grey ball ...

I have to do interviews about Donut Squad sometimes now and it’s hard because there’s all these questions about ‘what made you do *this*’ or ‘how did you come up with the idea for *that*’ and the answer to every single one, 100% of the time, is: “uh… I thought it would be funny?”

I think I left my scarf in Yorkshire. If anyone in Yorkshire finds a scarf please send it on, ta 👍

Post Thought Bubble seems like a good time to start an occasional thread of Good Comics recommendations. There’s a lot of Good Comics out there, let’s read some!

Hold the line.
I do not understand authors, broadcasters, voice artists, YouTubers, ANY creative artists using quick and cheap AI for their cover images and not realising: it will be you next.

One of my favourite things about Thought Bubble is walking through before it opens, seeing this amazing cross-section of the entire uk comics scene / industry / community… all wearing high viz jackets, like we have proper jobs or something. 😂

Oh I do love these little lunatics.

THE VILLINOOS, written by Logan Cameron, drawn by me, every week in The Phoenix!

Finished the most ridiculous, all-consuming run of deadlines of my life to date. Look up, bleary-eyed, and realise…

…oh shit, I’m going to Thought Bubble tomorrow?

Work-life balance? I'm barely managing to sustain work-work balance.

THE VILLINOOS are back! And they’re on the cover of @phoneixcomicuk! Honestly I think this is my favourite cover I’ve ever drawn. Enjoy the intergalactic carnage, every week from now till Christmas! 👾

Also: some other little round weirdos are back apparently? Look there’s a LOT GOING ON. 🍩

You could say we’re really… pushing the envelope.
Now having to keep the envelopes THE PHOENIX comes in because they’re an essential part of the Donut Squad narrative. This is outstanding stuff in pushing the comics boundaries. Honestly, DONUT SQUAD is playing with the form in meta ways I have never seen before. (Follow @neillcameron.bsky.social!)
